| Student membership |
 |
| This membership is to encourage students to become members of the association. The board fixes the subscription fee each year. Student members are not eligible to vote. |

| Individual designer memberships |
 |
| This membership is open to graduate designers, practicing designers and people practicing strategy and design in India and abroad. The board fixes the subscription fee each year. There is an option for annual and life member subscription. Members are eligible to vote. |

| Design House membership |
 |
| Design houses signify enterprises that are predominantly occupied with design. Membership is open to design offices in India and abroad. There is an option for annual and life member subscription. Three nominated members as stipulated in the agreement are eligible to vote. |

| Corporate & Educational In membership |
 |
| Corporate membership is open to design houses and offices in India and abroad. This type of membership is made on an annual basis. The board fixes the subscription fee each year. Four nominated members as stipulated in the agreement are eligible to vote. |

| Trade & Non-Profit Membership |
 |
| This Membership is open to suppliers and resource agencies associated with design in India and abroad. To avail of this membership, a sponsorship fee has to be paid on an annual basis. The board fixes the subscription fee each year. Trade members are not eligible to vote. Non-profit organisations that benefit from design would fall under this category. Membership is on an annual basis. However, members are not eligible to vote. |

| Patron members |

| Patrons may be from other related disciplines and professions. This category is by invitation of the office bearers only. Members can nominate names to the board for their consideration. Patrons are not eligible to vote. |
