AIDI is the official representative, of a national body of designers who represent all interest groups concerned with design.

AIDI believes that the National Design Policy of India (NDPI), initiated by the NID (National Institute of Design) and CII (Confederation of Indian Industry), has wide ranging implications. While it has representation from industry, the design community and the government, it needs a collective response from the entire design community for it to be effective.

AIDI comes in to provide a collective vision. As the association grows in strength, it hopes to be the platform that enables the implementation of the many design visions of this country.
